Created a data-driven, UI-less solution for UnitingCare’s Disability Services billing, called the NDIS Billing Calculator (NBC). Originally slated to run for maybe 2 years, it has been running for 5 years, created and managed state for over 2.5 million charges, totalling over $400 million – all without issue or intervention. Primary responsible for solution design and enterprise-aware architecture, stakeholder engagement, development and delivery, documentation, test cases against user stories and technical requirements, SDLC deployment and version control, and all integrations and reporting (PowerBI, Excel, SSRS).I then managed a migration of disabilities data (C. 300+Gb) from an on-premise instance of Carelink+ (Civica) to a cloud-hosted and upgraded instance. I implemented considerable configuration checking and reconciliation solutions, that make possible a multi-phased, repeatable, automated prod-like migration and testing paradigm. This gave the stakeholders project artefacts and confidence in the migration and testing. I created my own reconciliation system, as I found Redgate’s Data Compare to be lacking for what was required here.I assisted a billing implementation within one of the CMS systems (MyCMS), ultimately decommissioning part of the NBC I built (above). This involved migrating charges to this new system into a different structure, the creation of new structures within the CMS to handle billing state and integration processes (integrating Amazon AWS RDS, S3, D365, using Boomi), and all the necessary checks and balances for a seamless cutover from using the NBC to using MyCMS Billing.

Managing the development of bespoke insurance software. Handle workload, manage team issues and strategic initiatives. Create business plans for major work, and liaise with all levels of the company to implement changes.

Responsible for the BI ecosystem, including all element of ETL (from source data, FTP between other parties, and much more), reporting (SSRS, Excel, PowerView, etc), and other analytics (dashboarding, PowerBI, Tableau, etc). Some major efforts within the nearly two years spent at Amart include:- upgrading SQL Server 2008 R2 to 2016 across development, integration and production BI servers,- upgrading all BI solutions from BIDS, including converting all SSIS solutions to parameterised project deployment,- standardising the BI IDE, using VS 2013 and TFS 2015,- implementing TFS source control for all SSRS, IS and AS solutions,- standardised the running of SSIS packages using the SSIS Catalog, environments and their variables.

Tasked with creating a BI capability, I created the process behind business as usual reporting enhancements (such as triage, readiness, data discovery, scope/requirements, build, test, deploy, maintain) as well as mature a warehouse and analysis strategy. The ultimate goal saw ad-hoc multidimensional analysis of a myriad of data sources accurately, efficiently and conveniently at all levels of the business, operator to CEO.

Responsible for the design and implementation of data flow and BI management solutions. This incorporates creating the data structure behind new software, or creating from the ground up a tailored BI solution any company would be proud of.

Being primarily responsible for the technical implementation of Sirius For Insurance software, across the Asia Pacific region. Hardware and end-user deployment recommendations, installation, training, and data migrations were key across Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Wellington, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Cleveland (Ohio) and Johannesburg.

Many roles, including their website design and implementation, marketing (Flash) creation, various databasing needs, and implementing Sirius for Insurance (S4i). As I needed to return to Australia, I left Primary as their IT Manager, BI Programmer, and on-going remote consultant.
