Scott Macpherson has been a pilot and manager in corporate aviation for over 35 years. Scott led his flight department to be the first IS-BAO registered operator and he continues to be a strong supporter of the standard. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) and represents Canada on the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) governing board (current board member and past Chairman).Through his involvement with IS-BAO since its early stages, Scott became aware that the industry lacked a comprehensive, one-stop shop for online operational business aviation safety training. To fill this gap, he created TrainingPort.net, which went online at the 2006 NBAA convention.The recognition of recurrent training as one of the most difficult ongoing safety management tasks drive Scott and the TrainingPort.net team to develop solutions for thorough training needs assessments, metered and automated delivery of constantly updated and engaging training, and accurate, ongoing training record keeping, all of which are core to the TrainingPort.net service.
