In response to DU’s National Strategic and Business Plans, currently responsible for designing and delivering non-traditional programs, to add breadth and diversity to conservation delivery and finances. Examples include the Rice Stewardship Partnership and ConocoPhillips’ Louisiana Coastal Wetlands Program. Also, Southern Region conservation lead on Farm Bill; ecological goods, services, and outcomes; fundraising Initiative development and performance tracking.

Arkansas

Designed and implemented a conservation education and marketing campaign for Arkansas’s rice industry. The project included both educating producers on how to maximize the value of rice fields for waterfowl and promoting the ecological benefits of their actions.

Mississippi

Conducted applied research at Mississippi State University focusing on rice agriculture and waterfowl in the Lower Mississippi River Valley.

Various Locations

Held various positions with National Marine Fisheries Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and California Waterfowl Association, conducting research in Antarctica, the Northern Prairies, Gulf Coast, and California’s Central Valley.
