I am a registered nurse with a strong clinical background in hospital intensive care. As a health educator, I worked extensively with patients to help minimize their risk for illness and injury. I have developed superior skills in conveying compassion, clear communication, and pertinent followup to patients and families. More recently, I have advocated for nurses in multiple specialty areas by developing resources and opportunities for certification and education in support of their practice. My specialty is teaching nurses how to improve their writing skills, especially in the development of written tests. I enjoy writing and editing educational information for both health professionals and patients. My goal is exploring new ways to positively affect health professionals, patients, and families by utilizing my clinical, writing, and education skills.
