While still covering many responsibilities of a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, my role as a Senior Security Engineer focused on internal engineering tasks within Quorum Cyber. Cyber Specials and Cyber Volunteers are the core of the digital community with high levels of technical expertise joining policing in their fight against cybercrime.Adoption of the programme as good practice is being driven through national bodies such as the Home Office Cyber Crime Policy Unit and the National Crime Operations Coordination Committee. Now with joint policing and government oversight, the cyber volunteer arena has gone from strength to strength and CSCVs are delivering new capability that is bridging the gap between the police and the evolving cyber criminal.In February 2019 I left CSCV due to unaccountable decisions when it comes to expenditure and a lack of direction but I'm still proud of the work we did, volunteers we onboarded, and investigations we helped. As a Solutions Consultant at Formedix I was responsible for a wide range of tasks. These included creation of CDISC ODM based MetaData libraries, advising clients on the best use on implementing CDISC standards, creating bespoke MetaData/data transformations using XSLT and SQL, application support of our flagship product, specification creation and providing a first class, proactive service to all of our customers. Working with several blue chip companies within the Pharmaceutical industry I have been invited to speak to them on current projects and also advise them on how best to use our products and standards. One of the projects I am most proud of is that for one client, I managed to successfully reduce creation of study specifications by over 9000%.

During university I set up, ran and sold my own successful small business to finance university costs and to also gain a deeper understanding of the IT industry. The company focused on web design and development, graphic design, SEO, server management, IT support, networking and hosting management. During the time that I owned Angel Digital, I picked up several high profile clients such as Parker Pens UK, Mesh Office Seating UK, Saxen Workplace Solutions, and Adorable Tots to name but a few.My main focus was on in-house designed PHP/MySQL driven e-commerce engines, although I also worked with and maintained ASP.NET/MSSQL engines. Due to this, I gained extensive experience in installing, maintaining and developing plugins for Wordpress, CRELoaded, OSCommerce, OSCMax, Joomla!, VirtueMart (Joomla! Extension) and ZenCart.

Whilst at Saxen / Mesh Office Seating UK, I developed a knowledge of IT systems, programming, development, teamwork, problem solving and general IT duties. Some of my key roles and jobs were to build several e-commerce websites for sister sites and maintain both the code and back-end databases. I developed many plugins which add functionality to the e-commerce carts that are in use (such as allowing the employees to track customers bounce rates, clever pages which display a different page depending on the customers' previous webpage, etc.).I gained a deeper understanding of the requirement of IT in a manufacturing environment (Mesh Office Seating UK) and also its retail arm (Saxen).I developed several applications and solutions to problems which occurred during the day-to-day running of the business. One of the problems was locating a local dealer for retail customers; we found that this was taking a large chunk out of the sales team's time. To combat this, I developed a Google Maps integration which would search for local dealers near a postcode within certain criteria. I was also responsible for a number of adverts for magazines and trade shows.
