Any achievements I have as a CEO are a direct result of the utterly amazing teams of professionals we have at SCCS. Not being humble. It’s fact.Back in 2006, we started with 100 employees, 100 kids to serve, and a $5M budget. The agency had run at a loss for three years in a row. I was hired to lead a turnaround. Miraculously, it worked. Then we began to grow. Last fiscal year we earned $25M in revenues. We are still growing. We have done this on a 0.5% net margin with no fundraising, with 400 employees, serving over 8,000 kids, adults--plus their families--each year. This is what I love about our folks and this agency:We live a culture of caring and excellence. Our employees are known for their passion, creativity, and devotion. They are deeply motivated by their work, and they provide the utmost quality of care for the children, teens, adults and families who depend on us. I consider our employees Super Heroes because sometimes, quite literally, they save lives. It's a Tough Job. Our jobs for clinicians, para-professionals, and support personnel are not easy jobs. These jobs cry out for people with a special calling, a love for others. Our focus is to meet the urgent needs of some of the most vulnerable people in our community. The work can be heart-wrenching, and then there's the government-required paperwork. It's a tough job, but it’s rewarding, too. Really rewarding. Management is highly supportive more than dictatorial. They won't coddle you. They will teach you best practices. They will help you grow as a professional. They will challenge you to be your best.I have the best job in the world because I work for the best people in our industry.
