As a survivor of Traumatic Brain Injury, myself, and from a family of addiction specialist psychologists, I co-founded mPath Therapeutics in order to bring attention to the historic benefits of Ibogaine for victims of trauma and people suffering from the symptoms of PTSD and related addiction disorders. Ibogaine is a plant-based, all-natural compound that for generations has provided insight and lasting relief where conventional pharmaceuticals are ineffective.If you share our mission or know anyone affected by trauma or addiction, we welcome and appreciate your contact. The President of the University of Toledo challenged me to take on his College of Engineering's Mechanical and Bioengineering freshman and mentor them through an informal process of refining and maturing, in a real-world setting, numerous Freshman Design projects and individual product ideas. The program's main outcome was to leave the students encouraged about entrepreneurship--we exceeded our goal, and are now scaling the program to accommodate all majors with hopes to expand campus-wide in 2015.

The University of Toledo operates one of the 11 State of Ohio Third Frontier technology business incubators. Our incubator is a venture development organization assisting technology-based start-ups and area companies establish and grow their businesses by providing intensive guidance, cutting edge strategy, and pre-seed investment.As Interim Manager of Business Incubation, my challenge was, in only three months, to develop and implement strategies needed to drive awareness of the incubator's presence at UT, build a robust practice helping launch companies able to sustain employment locally, and hire staff to carry out these strategies. To that aim, I designed and built-out a state of the art co-working facility, "COspace", which serves as headquarters to as many as two dozen enterprises. COspace grew quickly into a regional hub for education and training, events and competitions all helping generate deal flow and deepen existing client relationships. http://t.ly/o8T_9
