Boughton Law Corporation is full service business law firm, located in Vancouver, BC with a branch in Whitehorse, Yukon. As a mid size law firm Boughton have over 50 lawyers who practice in 16 different areas of law. Since starting with the firm I was heavily involved in developing a major social media campaign utilizing Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.My role as Business Development Coordinator included the following functions:• Development of print promotional materials that include brochures, advertisements, signage, etc.• Development and maintenance of corporate websites, lawyer profiles, external directory listings and survey information• Develop social media marketing programs and campaigns• Monitor media mentions (traditional and social media) and manage when appropriate • Coordination of the firm’s public relations programs including external and internal publications to enhance awareness of the firm (e.g. blogs, media releases, etc.)

My role as Marketing Coordinator included the following functions: • Work alongside the department’s functional product managers and branch managers to develop winning communication strategies that that are aligned to their project/initiative objectives.• Develop communications to security professionals which promoted brands including ABUS, Silca, Assa Abloy, Lockwood, Padde, Whitco and Borg Locks.• Actively source, develop and produce quality communication materials suitable for audience across multiple media forms (web site, hard and soft copy collateral material).• Provide communications support to national sales manager, branch managers and project managers, which involve writing, editing, and managing communications in several media, including print, intranet, e-mail newsletters, speeches and presentations.• Responsible for project managing communication projects and other related projects• Act as a conduit between the business, sales and marketing departments by liaising with all key business unit stakeholders• Assist with promotional objectives, trade shows and conferences. Tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. • Coordinate advertising in trade publications from conception of artwork through to delivery.• Work alongside an external PR Agency to promote the company profile and new products then leverage that exposure.
