Managed creation of proprietary framework Epicor used to exchange documents (POs, ASNs, Invoices, and Part data) between Epicor Vision and store systems, ensuring seamless implementation of system for both large companies (multiple warehouses and 100’s of stores) and smaller companies while including option to migrate warehouses and stores simultaneously or warehouse(s) alone for use with legacy store systems. Confirmed proposed Vision changes met needs of automotive warehouses based upon conversations with customer and automotive business knowledge; resulting in 80% potential companies deciding to migrate from A-DIS to Epicor Vision.Led migration of Epicor A-DIS from Red Hat Linux to CentOS to enable Epicor to offer a less costly Virtual Machine option for customers.

Led implementation of EDI solution across all Epicor Automotive products, permitting large organizations to consistently integrate multiple customers using Epicor automotive products.Updated A-DIS/TPW and Ultimate/TPW integration to cross-dock received merchandise from receiving dock to shipping dock so personnel handled product less. Receiving clerk directed to pick part and send to shipping when received a part on backorder.Updated A-DIS/TPW integration to track location of cross ordered merchandise from order at customer's serving location to point merchandise is shipped to the customer. Enabled each warehouse the merchandise traveled thru to scan the parts in and out to automate data captured for tracking.Managed product development for Activant Automotive platforms: A-DIS, J-CON, Ultimate, and TPW -- The Paperless Warehouse. Worked with Eagle team to ensure new J-CON functionality was implemented on Eagle if it did not already exist.

Duties included working with development team to update 5000+ modules to run on SCO Unix or Red Hat Linux, coordinate qualification of changes on SCO Unix and Red Hat Linux, coordinate development required for Epicor bolt-on products for Epicor A-DIS, and coordinate relaunch of Epicor A-DIS on Linux with Sales, Marketing and Support.

Led the project across all CCI/Triad products to replace "CCI", "CCI/Triad", and "Triad" with "Activant" in all places that are visible to the customer. Created Central General Ledger to automatically post store system transactions to warehouse General Ledger, allowing warehouses to manage 40 stores per clerk instead of 7 stores per clerk.Enabled warehouses to manage 3-5 warehouses per clerk instead of 1 warehouse per clerk by automating post of Accounts Receivable and Sales transactions to General Ledger.Promoted from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer in April 1988.Updated Point-Of-Sale (POS) for warehouse and store to use scanner for selling parts, making products more marketable to retail automotive companies and providing consistency for personnel working at both warehouse and store within organization.Rewrote Epicor A-DIS Accounts Receivable so warehouses could specify A/R method by customer; Open Item listed all unpaid invoices on statement; Balance Forward listed beginning balance, monthly transactions, and ending balance. Automated post of Accounts Payable transactions to General Ledger, resulting in fewer clerks entering General Ledger transactions.
