My passion for the Out of Home Media space developed very early in my career, actually prior to my professional career. I had a summer job after my sophomore year in college at an outdoor advertising plant -- the position had me doing everything from lifting the old handpainted sections of 14x48 bulletins (before vinyl came along) onto trucks for install, to painting trim on poster structures, mowing lease lots and building extensions. There was something about seeing how some of your own efforts helped put a piece of creative on the streets that I found very rewarding. After graduating I entered the agency side of the business as a media planner and once again, quickly found myself gravitating to all the appeals of the Out of Home side of the business. It's been rewarding to see new technologies constantly evolving the medium I love and make it more exciting, targetable and customizable. While it can be a challenge to manage the ever growing number of OOH formats available, it's a challenge I like to take on every day to continue to provide my clients with solutions that provide the right people, with the right message, at the ideal time / frame of mind. Ultimately, that's what makes Out of Home a great fit for a society that is constantly on the move. Out of Home has become a strong platform for a call to action for consumers to use their mobile device to engage with brands and the products and services they offer. If done the right way, that integration between the OOH space, mobile devices and social media can satisfy that instant gratification that today's consumer craves. It's exciting to be a part of it all!
