As treasurer of Mortar Board - Geist chapter, I will serve onmy chapter’s executive board and give monthly attentionto the details of bookkeeping and money management. It isessential that a budget be prepared, fundraising be successfullyaccomplished and funds disbursed with accuracy and timeliness.Responsibilities to my chapter• Serve as a signatory on chapter bank accounts• Oversee or serve on fundraising committee• Establish a chapter budget• Provide regular financial reports or updates to chapter• Collect new and continuing membership fees• Execute end-of-year audit of chapter financial records• Orient and turn over all materials to your successorNational responsibilities• Complete the Chapter Finance Report by May 15• Submit all fees and final OMR to the National Office• Complete IRS Form 990 if annual receipts exceed $25,000• Alert the National Office if you receive any IRS notices

Will preside over all IFC financial matters.Will prepare the SGA budget packet and collect all IFC dues.Supervise the annual budget process.Collect IFC Member Fraternity dues or other assessments as needed.Maintain accurate records throughout the year through invoicing and receipts. Review and approve all IFC Expenditure Request Forms and IFC Reimbursement Request Forms.Make all disbursements with a cosigner.Prepare financial statements monthly and at the end of each term for distribution to all Member Fraternities.Make bank deposits when necessary and in a timely manner.Provide advice and support to Member Fraternity financial officers.
