One example, when a core application (Apache Log4j) triggered millions of hacker exploits globally we avoided the traditional (and endless cycle) of patching. Instead we quickly analysed alternatives, removed dependencies, negated further threats, and remained ahead of our organisational peers. Our approach was later adopted by other teams. -
