In my earlier career, I operated a successful horse training business, specializing in colt starting, halter breaking, and retraining horses. This experience developed my patience, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-pressure situations, skills that have translated well to pest control.

In charge of 57 horses and the facility to include but not limited to feeding, vaccinations, worming and wound management. Foaled out the farm's nine mares, assisted with getting them rebred, handled the farm's breeding stallions, and worked to get the younger ones better socialized. Solely in charge of irrigation of back 30 acres of property. Responsible.

Oversaw and was responsible for every phase of the building of custom designed pools. I supervised 7 full time employees, and all of the subcontractors that were used in the building process.

Duties included lunging, bathing, assisting with braiding, training and riding duties, and coaching at shows. I collected my own stallions, foaled out my own mares, and continued with my small breeding business.

I worked on a USDA funded research project to test a dewormer's effects on a stallion's sperm concentration and motility. I was responsible for handling and collecting CSU stallions, semen evaluation, and record keeping. I also helped with ultra-sounding mares to test for estrus, washing mares for embryo transplants, and handing CSU clientele stallions.

Daily care, feeding, health maintenance of horses, vaccinations and regular worming, and was responsible for shoeing schedule. Duties also consisted of upkeep of the grounds, ordering hay, grain and bedding material and interacting with club members and staff.

Assisted with farm calls made by the vets at the clinic. Holding horses and other livestock, giving shots, and helping with minor surgical procedures out in the field. Helped out around the clinic as well. This was part time work in preparation for application to vet school.

Supervised the answering of a 6 line telephone system and interviewed all prospective clients inorder that they be referred to the proper person or agency. I was responsible for keeping inventoryand the general maintenance of the office, including keeping all office equipment running smoothly and purchasing supplies.
