I was responsible for a portfolio of the FBI Director's Leadership Development Initiatives. Initially, this assignment focused on the FBI's employee recruitment and hiring evaluation processes, but then progressed to project management of initiatives within the FBI's Leadership Development Program. My portfolio of projects included developing and refining HR processes to spot leadership talent; to recruit, evaluate, and train future FBI leaders; and to update the performance assessment process for senior FBI leadership.

I served at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq as the FBI's Legal Attache - the FBI Director's official representative in Iraq. As the senior FBI official in Iraq I worked closely with other components of the U.S. government on a broad range of critical issues and I maintained liaison relationships with senior officials in the Iraqi government. In addition, due to the security situation created when AQI became ISIS, I was posted to multiple locations throughout the Middle East region during the second half of my tour. During that time I lived and worked in Erbil, (Kurdistan Region) Iraq; Amman, Jordan; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Doha, Qatar.

I served in a variety of positions in the New York field office and at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. My assignments included both the execution and management of investigations, analysis, and neutralization operations in the areas of Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, Intelligence, Counterproliferation, Organized Crime, and Transnational Criminal Enterprise.

I handled all phases of criminal prosecutions including reviewing investigations, drafting charging documents, arraignments, motions practice, bench and jury trials, and sentencing hearings. I served terms in the district courts (DWIs, traffic matters and minor assaults), the drug unit, the special assault unit (sex crimes and crimes against children), and the general trial teams (burglaries, robberies and major assaults).
