My name is Scott Bown and I am a Certified Financial Planner™ with 20+ years’ experience in financial services, insurance and wealth management. I am an accomplished personal financial professional that has transitioned my collective experiences to focus on being an advocate and resource for Family Senior Caregivers. My advocation is shown through public speaking opportunities, community involvement and speaking truth to the challenges faced by Caregivers of the Seniors in their lives. My being a resource is shown through the content I create, the online community membership site I have created and my focus on an educational approach. My professional “course correction” has been a long time coming and influenced by both personal and professional experiences. I have had the pleasure acting in the role of Power of Attorney and Executor for several family members. Why now? A recent conversation had a client sharing her new role of providing care for her mother with dementia. The client shared her extreme frustrations of not being able to gain access to the financial accounts because the required legal documents were not in place. She simply stated to me, “I wish I had known.” At that moment, I knew it was time for me to step up and make a difference.
