Led a staff of 90+ people responsible for 100% of the company’s operating financial performance. Primary staff responsibility was for Auto Product Management, Corporate Planning/Pricing and the Specialty Auto Group which included; Executive, Product Management, Customer Service and Underwriting staff for the Commercial Vehicle and Classic Auto Operations.➤ Profitably expanded our Commercial Vehicle Premium with a +16% CAGR since 2008. Over that time period the program averaged a 95% AYCR with only one year in that span above 100%.➤ Entered the Miami market in 2007 and repositioned the program in 2008. Generated more than a 30% Auto Program WP CAGR since entry at just over a 96% average AYCR. IPCC is now a top 8 writer in Miami.➤ Reorganized Product Management staff as strategic priorities shifted and have strong teams generating excellent results in California, Florida/Texas/Arizona and Specialty Auto.➤ President and CEO of record for several statutory IPCC insurance companies.

Led a staff of more than 300 people with profit and loss responsibility initially for IPCC’s Southern Region ($190 million in WP) which included; Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Primary staff responsibility was for the Product Management, Business Development andClaims operations. In 2007 added responsibility for the East Auto Programs including; Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut and Infinity’s Commercial Auto program.➤ Member of the Corporate Executive Team. Participated in quarterly IPCC Board of Director meetingsproviding updates on Region performance and industry/company loss trends.➤ Managed staff tasked with development of Company Volume/Combined Ratio plans. Also oversaw the development of management bonus plans.

Atlanta Metropolitan Area

Merged all American Financial Group Nonstandard Auto operations. Transferred to the Alpharetta office to oversee the reorganization of the non-Birmingham based Product Management staff. Primary responsibility was for the Southern Product Management and National Commercial Vehicle teams. Member of the Corporate Executive team, with additional responsibility for product planning.

Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Merged operation with the Infinity subsidiary in Birmingham. Shared responsibility for the Dallas business unit and was accountable for the financial results of the Leader operation ($120 million in WP). Primary staff responsibility included the Product Management, Pricing, Operations and HR groups.

Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Promoted to VP Sales to improve analytics of the Field Sales group. Increased “calls-per-day” goals, automated call tracking and increased the number of producing agents/brokers. Achieved 100% electronic upload of agent/broker generated applications. Continued to manage products of last role.

Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Merged the Leader National and Transport operations. Transferred to Dallas as a member of the new Executive Team. Continued to manage the Midwest programs and Texas ($70 Million in WP). Launched a California Auto program which grew to $18 million in first year premium with a sub-100 AYCR.

Greater Cleveland

Joined the company as a PM and member of the Executive Team. Initially, managed the Midwest region and had profit and loss responsibility for Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Indiana. Later added the Ohio and Texas Auto programs to assigned responsibility.

Hired as a Pricing Analyst. Promoted through analytical roles and ultimately managed the Pricing and Research & Development teams. Automated the Region’s off-balance process using SAS to rerate a program’s book of business, added to a corporate project team and used this tool as a proof of concept.
