Responsible for the strategic direction of the editorial and business operations of Our Sunday Visitor’s Publishing Division, with $15 million in annual revenue, and core member of the Senior Leadership Team for OSV as a whole ($55 million in annual revenue). Direct the activities of 55 employees (including 12 direct reports) in editorial, design, production, marketing, sales, and advertising. Provide editorial direction and strategic planning for OSV Books (45-50 new titles every year; backlist of over 800 titles), OSV Curriculum, five periodicals (Our Sunday Visitor, The Priest, The Deacon, OSV Kids, and the English edition of L’Osservatore Romano) and their associated websites, and parish publishing products. Strategically integrate content operations to achieve greater reach and revenue for all content products in both print and digital formats. Create opportunities for OSV Publishing’s Advertising Department to increase revenue by the development of new forms of advertising in OSV periodicals and websites and strategic alliances with other Catholic digital and print publications. Identify opportunities and respond quickly to develop new lines of business (including Catholic wire service OSV News and publishing agreements with the USCCB and the Vatican publishing house) to reach new audiences with OSV content and provide new content to OSV’s current audience. Work with the CMO to integrate OSV Publishing’s content offerings into OSV Parish Solutions products and services. Increase brand awareness of OSV as a whole and of OSV Publishing’s sub-brands through research-based marketing efforts and the development of strategic alliances with other Catholic organizations, including the USCCB, various Vatican dicasteries, and numerous national Catholic apostolates. Oversee fundraising in support of OSV Publishing initiatives.

Directed the creative use and re-use of Our Sunday Visitor’s catalog of content. Responsible for the editorial direction of Our Sunday Visitor’s line of trade books. Oversaw the planning and implementation of a circulation strategy for all of Our Sunday Visitor’s periodicals. Developed additional sources of revenue through donations and membership.

Direct the partnership between OSV and Aleteia on the English- and Spanish-language editions of Aleteia.

Wrote articles daily for the About.com Catholicism site. Maintained the site through a content-management system and twice-weekly email newsletters, and promoted the site through radio, print publications, and social networking.
