    Software Developer
    Scitech Jul 1997 - Oct 2001
Worked for a research consortium involved in the development of various kinds of vibration analysis software that needed to be able to access common data acquisition hardware. I designed a system to insulate the data acquisition hardware from simultaneous unsynchronized requests and allowed remote access. I successfully refactored the system two years later to enable control of multiplexer and relay hardware. The system has been running since 1997, is used by many applications, and has proven to be very useful in allowing the customer to add new hardware features while maintaining compatibility with legacy applications. Designed and developed a Windows data analysis application that included the development of a reusable COM based graphing package. The effort to make the components highly reusable proved to be successful as the graphics components have been used in many other applications and enable the customer to present a consistent look and feel across applications and leverage the investment in the graphs code.
