This applicant pool yielded KCAI’s largest new admitted student population in the college’s history. I was also tasked to focus on the college’s discount rate and through reevaluating merit scholarship funding, increasing annual tuition and implementing an aggressive financial aid appeal process I was able to lower the discount rate from 62% to 50%. The History of Games:This course is a sociological survey ranging from the ancient Egyptian game of Senet to online ARGs (Alternative Reality Games). This class focused on specific games and game genres in historical and cultural context using art, artifacts, game designs and actual in-class game play. The importance of play and the cultural notions of games were examined.

Oversaw the marketing, data research and successful launch of three new graduate programs in Writing, Visual Culture and Design. Developed and implemented on-campus information sessions and located off-site venues to promote these three programs. Assisted in the writing of promotional text for print and electronic communications, coordinated the applicant file reviews and served as a counselor to prior degree students.

Through the analysis of prospect and historical data I developed regional recruitment strategies for the Greater Oakland, Santa Barbara, Ventura and SLO territories. I visited art classrooms at high schools and community colleges, gave slide presentations, reviewed portfolios of prospective students and attended college and transfer fairs.
