I joined the Army National Guard my senior year of high school and served for 6 years. During this time I was able to participate in several joint training exercises including a deployment to Greece. We were also activated and deployed to the Red River Valley during the 1998 floods. My experience in the Guard taught me the power of teamwork, and the impact of effective leadership. I received an honorable discharge in 2000.
