Managed two teams building and running models and heuristics to generate Insights and Alerts for the Einstein Activity Capture, Inbox, High-Velocity Sales, and Salesforce Meetings product lines. Worked across functions with product, user experience & design, data science, infrastructure, quality, performance, security, and legal. Some of the tech we were using: Kafka, Scala, Spark, EMR/Databricks, Kotlin, Storm, Cassandra, Postgres, Redis, AWS.

Built out various parts of the streaming pipeline. Built product prototypes from scratch for visualizing and configuring machine learning algorithms using React, Redux, Node, Webpack, and D3. Worked with the data science team on labeling exercises and owned the internal data labeling tool using Angular2, Kotlin, and Postgres. Built a new landing page for the legacy CRM product in Angular, as well as contributing bug and security fixes.

First engineer to join Impart, an Accel backed startup acquired by UserTesting.com that was building a new workflow for client side analytics. Built the Live Sitemap feature, a custom interactive D3 visualization which maps all the pages in a website and allows analysts to drill into individual pages or user sessions. Worked across the stack in JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Scala, Akka, and Elastic Search. Managed a contract designer in product branding. Conducted business development and outreach with potential marketing and PM customers, closing the first beta users.

Worked briefly with the Personalization and Monetization teams. Attempted to document and clarify requirements for the new payments system between PM, third party contractors, the back-end team, and product. Built a prototype payments page with javascript, vue.js, and nuclear.js. Added a couple commits for small feature enhancements to personalization. Wrote up product feedback as a ‘new user’ for the feature.

Promoted to Senior Engineer at 1 year.Worked across teams (UI, Server, Install, Ops) to build the company’s cutting edge reporting service end-to-end, allowing all customer HTML5 custom dashboard visualizations in the application to be turned into scheduled reports. Built the service using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Java, Hibernate, Jersey, Node.js, and PhantomJS. Drove the project to completion overcoming technical challenges, product constraints, lack of external-team buy-in, and stake-holder politics.Responsible for the first integration of Node.js into the core product, for both SaaS and on-premise. Built core UI infrastructure components used throughout the application, such as the HTML page layout utility and breadcrumb resize functionality. Created the first version of the mobile crash analytics page. Worked throughout all UI product areas: application performance management (APM), end-user-monitoring (EUM), and custom dashboards, reports, and analytics.Within the first month of joining the company, integrated the Grunt development tool to drop UI build times from 1 minute to 10 seconds – a tool now used by half the members of the UI team. Additionally, solved a complex priority 1 bug preventing the application from working with Internet Explorer 11.

--- Instructor Pilot ---• Flew over 300 training sorties in the F/A-18, focused on both aircraft familiarization and advanced air-combat tactics.• Trained over 100 Marine and Naval Officers in both aviation and leadership skills.• Briefed, supervised, and debriefed flight activities involving 1 to 8 other pilots, including both students and instructors.• Taught over 50 classes on advanced air tactics to groups of 10-20 students.--- Legal Officer ---• Advised the Commanding Officer on all military legal issues.• Supervised three clerks in the administration of the Legal Department.• Coordinated with the Judge Advocate General’s office (JAG) for MCAS Miramar and 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing in the prosecution and separation of over two-dozen individuals.• Worked with Marine Criminal Investigative Division (CID) and Navy Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in the investigation of over a dozen cases.--- Safety Officer ---• Oversaw squadron compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and environmental regulations• Organized four squadron safety stand-downs: quarterly all day events involving all 700 squadron personnel, focused on both aviation and personal safety.• Responsible for motorcycle safety and sober driving programs.

• Deployed on a ground tour to assist Army Special Forces in Iraq• Coordinated aircraft for 257 Special Forces missions pursuing high value targets• Trained Air-Controllers in the physics and capabilities of electronic signal jammers

Eisenhower to support operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia.• Led junior pilots on both training and combat missions.• Obtained numerous flight leadership qualifications: requiring the ability to coordinate multiple pilots, aircraft, and external resources; the ability to execute efficiently in dynamic, high-pressure environments; and the ability to train new pilots in these skills.--- Assistant Operations Officer & Schedules Officer ---• Created reports for senior military leadership on squadron readiness. • Scheduled over 2000 hours of aircraft operations and training.• Coordinated with numerous external organizations for training resources.--- Division Officer & Weapons Training Officer ---• Managed over 100 aircraft maintenance personnel, responsible for career advancement, training qualifications, and personal issues. • Maintained the squadron's classified computer network• Trained fellow pilots in the capabilities and technology of advanced military weaponry.
