Since joining ALPHA II, I have re-architected our data center and managed the development of our fully Active/Active production environments located in both Tallahassee and Cincinnati. During that process I managed the migration of the internal data center from a physical to virtual environment utilizing VMware and established a new data center in a private cloud/co-location environment. The networks are load balanced internally and externally to maximize throughput and redundancy. I am also the company ISO and a member of the EHNAC Cloud Computing sub-committee and EHNAC Criteria committee.As part of my duties I manage the IT and DBA teams. I am responsible for over 125 physical and virtual machines including fifteen database servers across the enterprise. MEGAS is currently utilizing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to 2014. This includes SQL replication, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS. I am responsible for internal systems that utilize Microsoft Exchange 2007, Share point 2010, and all domain functions including Active Directory, DNS, as well as network security. Alpha II attained a EHNAC HNAP EHN accreditation; I managed the process of improving security and policies companywide to meet the stringent requirements needed to gain accreditation. The HNAP EHN is intended for companies or organizations whose electronic health networks perform claims clearinghouse or EDI gateway functions. This accreditation confirms the security of our company’s facilities, network and infrastructure meets or exceeds all heath care mandated rules and security regulations.

As president, I was responsible for all aspects of managing a business including: developing and cultivating business relationships, developing sales opportunities, software markets, and establishing and managing strategic alliances/partnerships. My responsibilities included; financial planning and budgeting, sales & marketing, and software demonstrations. Additional duties included managing our software products and corresponding development teams (including new features, product direction and product development for all applications). This included working with our customers on business analysis and project management for client software deployments and establishing new product features.I also managed all internal databases, Network, firewall, and servers. Technical duties included maintaining all infrastructures for development and production environments, including Microsoft SQL Server 2000-2008, Microsoft Exchange, internal and external IIS servers, Watch Guard firewall administration, Active Directory & Network administration (DNS, VPN, FTP, etc.) and Pine App Spam filter administration.DBA duties included schema design, database normalization, SQL Replication, Full-Text Indexing, SQL Reporting Services, and performance and tuning on MS SQL 2000/2005/2008. I have installed and maintained MS SQL Replication, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services and Full-Text Indexing.

Development Team Lead/ Project Manager responsible for managing all aspects of application development and deployment as well as database/infrastructure design. The team was responsible for the rapid development and implementation of an e-commerce 24/7 on-line e-Learning system. This system utilized a three tier structure and was one of the first true online training systems. Responsibilities included project management, development team management, business analysis, scheduling, technical direction, change management, project reporting and budgeting (hardware/project budget of $1,000,000.00).DBA duties included: database administration, data governance, database scheme design and SQL programming. Other technical duties included infrastructure design, purchasing, and deploying the environment to test and production systems. The environment included Windows 2000 servers utilizing IIS, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0/2000, Microsoft Exchange, and load balanced redundant hardware.

Lead Database Administrator in R&D responsible for multi-person DBA team. The DBA team developed and maintained multiple VLDB systems on multiple platforms. These platforms included MS SQL 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 and Sybase System 10, 11. Participated in the design and enterprise level Master Data Management for projects with more than 750 SQL tables, 2000 indexes, and hundreds of Stored Procedures, Views, & Triggers. These projects were developed over multiple platforms (MS SQL, Sybase, & Oracle) for Enterprise-level implementations.Provided support for clients in areas of performance & tuning as well as troubleshooting. Part of the development team responsible for the design, testing and implementation of our database tools and the Laptop version of our product. Participated in the design and development of the Distributed Office System utilizing a WAN and SQL replication in 9 different cities throughout Canada. Also led the development effort to convert CMSOPEN to the Oracle platform.Other responsibilities included the maintenance of six database servers and more than 100 databases for development, testing, and support in addition to certifying product on new platforms (e.g. Sybase 11.9.2, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, Oracle 7.5, Sybase SQL Anywhere 6.0, Windows 2000, Erwin and Hardware Clustering). Extensive experience troubleshooting, installing and configuring Sybase 10 & 11+ and Microsoft SQL Servers 6.0, 6.5 & 7.0, NT 4.0.
