Our mission is two-fold: Housing MHK's mission is two fold: 1) to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide housing for low-income individuals and families in our region and 2) Enhance and assist in providing Resident Services for the Manhattan (PHA) Public Housing Authority. As we build capacity, we'll facilitate ongoing programs and activities for all ages that may include, but are not limited to, workshops on nutrition, youth activities, building book-rich environments, adult education, workforce development, and financial literacy.

The Manhattan Housing Study Steering Committee is charged with creating a plan to address Manhattan's housing needs. I work to assist with the development of policy and project recommendations to be included in an implementation plan.

The Mission of the Manhattan Afghan Resettlement Team (MART) is to equitably coordinate a comprehensive set of services required to successfully resettle Afghan allies in the community through the efforts of an all-volunteer team. Services may include safe housing, basic furnishings and clothing, and access to health care, social services, education and employment resources.

The mission of the Sunflower CASA Project, Inc. shall be to make available trained volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children and youth who come into the court system of the 21st and 2nd Judicial Districts. Court-Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers from many different backgrounds who give their time to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. Our program is based on the principle that each child deserves a safe, permanent, nurturing home where they can thrive. Our volunteers are the difference between abuse and hope.
