About Scott Seiger

After a career in IT in the corporate sector, I am transitioning to the social work field after recently receiving my MSW. I have experience in Men's trauma and the mental health of young adults, adults, and seniors. I have provided crisis intervention, short term therapy in evidence based approaches including CBT and group therapy in IOP and PHP settings as well as well as in higher education. My experience includes working as a financial crisis counselor and performed IT consulting in non-profit organizations. I am comfortable in high stress environments where there are multiple competing demands in which excellence in customer service is a priority. I bring a keen understanding of shifting priorities and the ability to manage them as well as experience working on teams with disparate personalities. My corporate experience included project management and diplomatic problem solving and analysis in collaboration across departments. I have an abundance of passion for making a difference in the lives of others.At PBH, I co-facilitated process groups in the Men's Trauma and Young Adult Dual-Diagnosis programs. I provided individual and group services to clients of all ages and backgrounds with moderate to severe diagnoses. This included clients with mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, loss and grief, substance use disorders, schizophrenia and personality disorders.I was also an intern in the Dean of Students Office at Rutgers University. I conducted crisis intervention, assessment, referral, & provision of brief individual psychotherapy. As a financial case manager at Jewish Family and Children’s Services I was responsible for aiding clients in short-term financial crisis, connecting clients to community resources, advocating for clients, & referrals to other care provider. At Rutgers' Institute for Families, I had responsibility for coordinating/managing a national EAP conference on Veterans in the Workplace.
