Each product solved a specific segment of large-scale media supply chain problems that enabled orchestration of larger workflows (in the cloud and on premise) that were previously very disconnected.• Managed the delivery of machine learning implementations for broadcast and studio workflows at scale with better results at much lower costs than mainstream cloud vendors. The GrayMeta team has developed the following machine learning components: speech to text, facial recognition, logo detection, object detection, classification, natural language description, video tech cues, optical character recognition and language detection at scale and precision.• Promoted industry standard Software Development Life Cycle processes across multiple products and services.• Engagement with Studios, Broadcast & Distribution Partners to promote/implement existing products and services.• Helped move forward engagements in the sales pipeline by mining extensive M&E industry connections.• Team member mentoring and development. A family based business providing insulation and services to mechanical refrigeration and process piping. Customers were based around agriculture, fish processing (mostly in Alaska) and food processing.I was brought in to help in the transition of the Owner/Founder transition to retirement along with evaluating company processes & systems for possible replacement or improvement with technology products or cloud offerings. Completed roadmap from the discovery exercise to incorporate cloud offerings into existing company processes.

Founding partner of Konstrukt (formerly Pepé Digital), an execution-oriented technology consulting firm focused on the intersection of technology, media and entertainment. Engagement focuses include: technology diligence, prototyping and R&D, software design and implementation, cloud computing, development planning and leadership. Cloud based infrastructure and platforms along with proper code blueprints were central to providing customers with scalable and efficient software or service. Cloud Services used: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Azure.

• The role reported to the CEO and was tasked with bringing structure to the development team and process, exploring strategic options migrating existing services to utilize cloud infrastructure, bring efficiency to the corporate IT organization and align department budgets with service roadmap and revenue projections. The development organization structure and process included evaluating existing development organization competencies along with proper individual developer/manager positioning to maximize knowledge and experience in the organization. The development process is based on the Agile Development Philosophy and was augmented to include a rigorous testing process and continuous integration with intentions of migration to continuous deployment. An important component of the structure was the standardization of development tools and frameworks. The vision of the company was to migrate services to cloud based infrastructure and platforms on Amazon Web Services to ease deployment and scale.

Deluxe acquired Ascent Media January 2011 and managed the software development team within the Deluxe Strategic Product Development organization including the transition of the Ascent product team into the Deluxe organization. The team as responsible for delivering major advancements to the Deluxe MSO/Telco product line and Enterprise Asset Management and Delivery service.

Managed the software engineering team and ran software design and development within the Strategic Product Development organization. Lead a team of over thirty engineers that included internal, remote, and offshore resources. Oversaw multiple product lines with complex and interleaved roadmaps while making major advancements to development processes and methodologies. Product efforts were focused on the studio, advertising, and MSO/telco sectors and addressed the following capability segments: digital asset management, video processing automation, collaboration, content rights, content management, professional social networks.
