Tasked to champion the development of electric drive units and hybrid transmissions in the area of oil management, experimental testing, and design integration.Supported launch on Chevrolet Volt transmission, worked with the development organization as well as on location with the Mexico based manufacturing operation to isolate customer concerns; tracked contamination issue and two concerns to supplier process, which were resolved with design and process changes.Fostered improved working relationships between the vehicle level development, transmission development, and manufacturing personnel, in order to provide a direct conduit from those organizations back to design for rapid input on product design impacts.Worked directly with the vehicle final assembly organization to verify the production oil fill process and develop the service procedure; ensured the service procedure was fully understood so any production issue could be addressed, guaranteeing proper oil fill when the vehicle left the plant.
