My responsibilities included providing game recaps, side pieces about the games, analysis, feature pieces, injury updates, and news stories about the team on a regular basis - typically contributing about 4-5 pieces per week. As News Director (August 2015 - May 2016), I oversaw a news staff of 10+ anchors/reporters for both on-air broadcasts and web reporting. I was in charge of interviewing and auditioning potential anchors as well as scheduling the selected staff. I assisted anchors in composing concise, conversational news scripts while also providing tips on how to improve delivery on air. I have also written promos for news broadcasts that are in rotation on the station.As Production Director (May 2016 - August 2016), I oversaw all production elements to on-air programming, including intros/outros for programs, PSA's, station promos, feature programs, and long-form programs.As a producer (September 2015 - December 2015), I produced the Green Guys Tailgate Show, which aired 90 mins before every Mean Green football game. I organized a run sheet, segment ideas, player interviews, produced content, and ran the board for the show. As a sports anchor (August 2014 - August 2015), I delivered local and national sports news three times at the top of the hour one day a week. I wrote my own scripts, chose relevant stories for KNTU's demographic, found relevant audio, and optimized audio for radio broadcasts. As the Sports Editor (August 2015 - May 2016) and News Editor (May 2016 - Present), I oversee all content for both the weekly print edition and the digital platform for my respective section. I also generate story ideas to assign to writers and work with them to improve and tighten their stories, game recaps, and analyses. I have also spent hours in the newsroom working with the visual design of our broadsheet paper and assisted in editing all sections of the paper during editorial meetings.***Even as editor, I still did plenty of reporting. I was the first one to break the news of the firing of Dan McCarney as head football coach. I was also the first one to break the news that North Texas would not use a hiring committee to find its next head coach, and I broke the story about wide receiver Darvin Kidsy being arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident. I performed on trombone and vocals with one of the premiere party bands in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. From a vocal standpoint, I was the lead vocals on a handful of raps and also sang background vocals when necessary. We performed around town and also at venues across the country, including multiple gigs in Las Vegas and New Orleans. I also managed band's Facebook and Twitter page while I was with the group, both of which were essentially inactive before I took over.

Norwegian Dawn

I worked a four-month contract on the Norwegian Dawn as part of the ship's Show Band. We played nearly every day for each 10-day cruise, and my responsibilities included backing up professional guest artists, playing jazz sets in various parts of the ship, backing up the ship's comedian in a musical comedy routine, and other miscellaneous musical obligations. I also arranged horn parts for a Blues Brothers Tribute Show that was performed by the "JUMP" band, a London-based party band that resided on the ship while I was under contract. I also performed in that show. As part of other ship duties, I was assigned the responsibility of being an Emergency Drill Leader in case of emergency on the ship.

I sold autographed sports memorabilia and other miscellaneous sports merchandise at the Ridgmar Mall, Northeast Mall, and Grapevine Mills Mall locations. I was often times in charge of the store by myself from open to close, and I worked with professional athletes when the store would host autograph sessions for the public.

While working on my M.M, I directed one of three TCU Jazz Ensembles for four semesters. I occasionally rehearsed and directed the top jazz ensemble as well. My other responsibilities included managing the TCU Jazz library, organizing and maintaining the folders for the band, assisting the jazz director in travel details when we attended the Havana Jazz Festival in Cuba, and helping all of the bands for outdoor and indoor concerts. I also was heavily involved with administering the annual TCU Jazz Festival, working with many high school musicians and directors.

I assisted with logistical duties, including registration, assistance with the wardrobe and choreography/production teams, leading the on-field entertainment, and more. I worked with many professionals in the event planning and coordinating industry, including those who have assisted with the Academy Awards, previous Olympic Opening Ceremonies, and various large production movies.

I also worked with a variety of cast members in the Guest Talent division in a leadership role.
