Scott Skelton currently serves as a Principle Exposure Scientist for CTEH. Mr. Skelton focuses on special project industrial hygiene with emphasis on worker exposure, exposure control, and fire/explosion safety for Emergency Response. Mr. Skelton also serves as an expert witness for IH-related emergency response litigation and project support. Mr. Skelton is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) with 18 years of experience in emergency response, industrial hygiene, and health and safety industries. Mr. Skelton received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Arkansas State University, and a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from Montana Tech University. Mr. Skelton has managed over 200 Chemical and Natural Disaster Responses including serving as a CTEH’s Louisiana Director of Operations during the BP Gulf Oil spill and has an extensive background in environmental response, toxicology, industrial hygiene, and health and safety. Prior to Mr. Skelton's role as Principal Exposure Scientist, Mr. Skelton served as the Director of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP) and Senior Industrial Hygienist for three years at the Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health. Mr. Skelton has served as an advisor to state and federal occupational and environmental regulatory agencies such as USEPA, OSHA, ADEQ, TCEQ, and TDEQ.
