My work for the EAJPC primarily involves daily operations. I manage the review of research articles that have been submitted for publication. Coordinating with article authors, I provide suggestions for revision to meet the publication standards of the EAJPC. In addition, I write interviews with popular culture producers, book reviews, and act as editor for special issues of the journal.

I have been involved in a wide range of activities at Ming Chuan. This includes designing and streamlining the English tests that are administered throughout the university, as well as designing and staffing different classes. I have taught writing to English majors, compulsory English to non-English majors, and academic courses instructed in English to foreign students registered in the International College. I have served on several faculty hiring committees where I reviewed resumes, selected suitable candidates and interviewed candidates for final selection. Currently, I am part of an ad hoc group working on selecting new teaching materials for the English Language Center.Most of my present work involves developing research opportunities for faculty. We are developing a conference and other events for faculty to speak about their teaching and research experiences. I work with a faculty committee to plan these events, collect abstracts and select speakers. In addition, I am an editor at the SCOPUS-listed East Asian Journal of Popular Culture, where I assist with the review and selection of articles for publication in the journal. I was editor of the special issue 'A modern popular culture in middle-class Japan' that published a collection of articles developed from the Second East Asian Popular Culture Association Conference.
