Worked a contract for the Internal Revenue Service for 8 1/2 years. Worked as Scrum Master, did some Oracle tuning, PL/SQL development, as well as Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. As part of this contract, I have implemented the VPD policies, the security authorization model, the menu structure as well as the menu itself, assisted with the Data Model and assisted with various Application DBA tasks.I led various teams, ranging from 4-7 resources, coordinating tasks and resources to provide value to our client in a timely manner. We have implemented a unique blend of Agile methodologies in a Waterfall environment, allowing us to be reactive yet still comply with the regulations necessary for the organization. • Team Lead for the Third Level Support team. Worked with this team in prioritizing and planning the company’s most difficult bugs in order to retain key accounts.• Technical Lead on the Order Management Project team for a major Electronics Retailer. • Managed a ‘hot-line’ as we went live with the task of fielding calls, troubleshooting, testing and implementing a patch for all bugs within 24 hours of being reported. • Worked with Clients and with Project Managers to ensure that software defects are fixed in a timely manner and to the Client’s specifications. • Co-wrote a Point-of-Sale interface, which allows communications from an Oracle database to an IBM 4690 Point-of-Sale system. Wrote and tested the Java client which handled the communications between the Oracle ‘back-office’ and the Point of Sale for a local grocery chain. • Create Oracle database stored Java methods to establish network socket connections which allow the database PL/SQL packages to communicate with a server residing on the 4690 controller.

• Developed and maintained Oracle Forms, Reports, and Packages in a large Retail Oracle Application. Areas of expertise in the application included Purchasing and Shelf Label Interfaces.• Enhanced the label interfacing functionality and finished the integration of ELT software with Retail.net. Utilized Oracle Forms, Packages, and through communicating through network sockets to the ELT software package.

• Developed Oracle on a large Property Management System for one of BEST’s prominent Oracle clients. • Converted and upgraded the Client’s system to run on Oracle Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.5. • Made the entire application Y2K compliant and moved common functionality into PL/SQL packages.• Taught courses in Oracle Reports o UTOUG training days o Clients of BEST Consulting in Salt Lake City as well as in Portland

Supported and maintained software for the Forecasting and Replenishment department. Worked virtually unsupervised since the programming language (SuperBase) that the application had been written in was very rare and no other Developer in the company was familiar with it. Worked directly with my users to plan and design the required functionality for the application as well as setting deadlines for the work to be completed. Did all of my own unit testing, debugging and troubleshooting. Assisted in the initial phases of implementing the Oracle Inventory Application. Received critical Oracle Education classes at this point in PL/SQL, Forms and Reports. Maintained an application, which warehoused data from various different Ingres databases and provided the Forecasting Department with tools for making decisions in the inventory and purchasing areas.
