It's awesome to be launching a new business in a field I now love, trail running. I'm looking forward to this new venture. This means I'm wearing a lot of different hats from budgeting, marketing, volunteer recruitment, venue layout, course layout, website production, permits, logistics and even preparing food sometimes. The fun part is watching as the participants achieve their goals.Mountain Running Races Company was formed to deliver vertical mountain running events that will give you a challenge. We specialize in finding Pacific Northwest running trails with great vertical gain and awesome views.The Vert Running Series™ presented by Dynafit, is a new mountain trail running series and will offer many types of steep vertical trail runs that will bring out the goat in you and give the Elite, Sport, Masters 45+ and Youth Under 20 all an opportunity to shine.Mountain Running Races LLC also introduced the Running Up For Air Series to the Seattle Washington area in 2023. This event is held to bring awareness to our current climate change and supports a local organization that is dedicated to help make a difference. The series is sponsored by Patagonia and also includes 5 other venues in Utah, Colorado and Montana.Our most recent developments is two mountain adventure festivals, Leavenworth Trail Fest and the North Bend Trail Fest. It's great to become part of a venue community and give back to that community.

From Couch to 5k plans to the ultra marathon training and support, we design a custom plan that fits runners schedules and goals.

Leading this small organization to help our underserved youth is a blessing. Developing events, sorting shoes and giving time to youth organizations.Providing running programs for underserved youth. In 2023 we are working with the Urban Native Education Alliance in Seattle, Washington by helping to organize the Billy Mills 5k event and provide running shoes for Native American families and their youth. Provides a shoe recycling program, "Run More! Less Footprint!" to allow used shoes to be recycled helping to eliminate over 30 pounds of CO2 for each pair of shoes donated. This program also collects new returned shoes from local running stores and provides them to organizations and events that help men and women in need.

During Thanksgiving 2010 I hitched a trailer to a bicycle and ventured to the front of Seattle's Columbia Tower, where I began to hand out flyers asking for shoe donations. The following week saw over 250 pairs of shoes donated. This method continued over the holidays and by February 2011 individual interest grew into forming a nonprofit corporation, Redeeming Soles.Redeeming Soles continues to grow at a surprising rate and has seen local and national media attention including the Seattle Times, KING5 News, KOMO News, Huffington Post and The Hallmark Channel.The mission for Redeeming Soles is to provide footwear for all in need throughout the Puget Sound area. With the vision of reaching out and helping all those in need throughout the nation.
