I created innovative solutions for several high profile BBC interactive TV applications, including Wimbledon, the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. As the platform matured, I moved to a more specialised role where I provided direction for the architecture of new and existing products, particularly with regards to latency of updates to the viewers' set top boxes. As part of this I designed and implemented a system that synchronised the overlay of interactive TV quizzes with the live television broadcast. One example of such a quiz was Test the Nation in which viewers could answer the questions as they were posed in the studio, and be given an IQ score at the end of the quiz. Show less -
