About Scott Stewart

Translating innovation into a reality, with tangible financial, economic and social return, is the thread that runs through my career, and my key motivation. Over the last 15 years, I have accelerated Brisbane City Council through a period of generational change and infrastructure development, instigating, governing and delivering world-class infrastructure projects to benefit both businesses and citizens. Drawing on pedigree design and delivery skills honed overseas in Europe, Hong Kong and SE Asia on major infrastructure projects (Arup), and the ability to scale people, process, governance to execute projects quickly and efficiently, I have modernised the Council’s delivery capability to do more, with less, and with greater focus on the outcomes that matter. Together, we have changed the face of the city with the backing of stakeholders spanning government, industry and the community. My number one focus as a leader is to empower others to be held accountable and take pride in driving bigger and better results. Equally, I strive to create ethical, equitable and values-led cultures that encourage both innovation and participation from all facets of the organisation. I want to inspire purpose, build resilience and above all, nurture excellence.I enjoy building my network and welcome people to get in touch via LinkedIn.
