Resolved significant performance problems related to the Stories Newsfeed unit, a joint project of the Newsfeed and Stories consumption team, on iOS and Android. Tech Lead for Stories Home, a feature that took a team of 10 engineers 1.5 years to develop and launch. Drove day-to-day execution of this large project across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Server, ML), resulting in the team consistently hitting delivery deadlines (±1 week) for duration of the project. Long-term focus on improving automated testing across the entire Stories organization focusing on unit testing, screenshot testing, and UI/End-to-End testing at various times. Owned and implemented significant portions of the Stores Home infrastructure including server queries, logging, and UI. Organized and streamlined team processes around team roadmaps, project planning, project scheduling, QA, bug bashes, internal A/B tests, and external A/B tests. Led a 3-month sprint to grow engagement metrics for the Stories Home feature: explored 25 different features, built 19 of those features, ran 35 public A/B tests, and shipped 6 features that resulted in the team hitting its goals. Helped launch a mentoring program for the 120-person Stories organization. Wrote a long-running series of articles about engineering leadership; articles were read and followed by hundreds of engineers within Stories and across Facebook.
