Slot, design and edit sports sections for the La Crosse Tribune (30K am daily) in La Crosse, Wis., and Winona Daily news (11k am daily) in Winona, Minn. Sections usually 3-5 pages daily, 6-8 Sundays. Used Quark XPress software suite, including QuarkCopyDesk.

Paginate section's Facts & Figures page and performed data entry duties for statistics and game results in a part-time role, averaging 24-30 hours per week. Also perform proofing, phone-answering, e-mail checking and other desk duties as required for a 65K AM daily. Used Quark XPress software suite, including QuarkCopyDesk.

Served in a variety of capacities during time at the World. Duties included: slot editor (shift supervisor), cover design, page design, copy editing, headline writing, agate compiling, weekly NFL compilation/opinion column, some writing.
