I have lived and worked in Houston, Texas most of my professional life, enjoying careers in photography and graphic design. During this period I transitioned from the Darkroom to the Digital Desktop and from the X-acto Knife to the Vector-based tools of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.Architecture and the built environment are frequent subjects of my photography. I grew up in Chicago where I was surrounded by the modernist skyscrapers of Louis Sullivan and the Prairie-style homes of Frank Lloyd Wright. During my high school years I lived in Athens, Greece where I was exposed to classical architecture and great art history. Today the cityscape of Houston and the city’s post-modern architecture are my inspiration.My photo archive contains thousands of unique images. Themes include architecture, cityscapes, industrial photos, nature, landscapes, travel and aerial photos. I have produced several collections of regional photographs that feature definitive scenes of Houston and Texas. Stock photos are licensed for use in advertising, editorial and corporate publications.My fine art photography is specified by interior designers and art consultants for corporate, hospitality and healthcare environments. As a service I facilitate custom picture framing and deliver turnkey art. Companies and institutions that have chosen my artwork for their permanent art collections include Marriott International, Cisco Systems, Citigroup, Enterprise Products Partners, Ferrostaal, Deloitte University, Baylor All Saints Medical Hospital and the US Court of Appeals.Although I continue to take new photographs, much of my energy today is focused on creating adaptations from pre-existing images in my archive. This may involve:- Integrating multiple elements to create digital composite images- Applying precise color correction and maximizing tonal range- Isolating sections of a photo with precise masking and selection techniques
