More than a decade ago, I co-founded the energy efficiency consultancy Ciel Power LLC. As its Managing Member, I work closely with local environmental groups, elected officials, and environmental science and sustainability leaders to develop and promote community partnerships designed to increase energy efficiency awareness. I’m proud to say that Ciel Power LLC is the recipient of 2019, 2020, 2021, & 2023 Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Contractor of the Year Awards, and received a Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Department of Energy & the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection, a national honor reserved for the top one percent of energy efficiency consultancies. In addition to having been featured in the New York Times, Realtor Magazine, Mashable, and on Yahoo News, as well as on ABC World News Tonight, I frequently participate in public speaking engagements and panel discussions. I’m so grateful for all of these opportunities, which allow me to advocate for environmental consciousness while supporting others in their sustainability efforts.As a firm believer in the importance of community engagement, I’m actively involved with several nonprofits. I recently stepped down from my past position as President of the Board of Directors of CivicStory, an organization that advances solutions-based news about citizens transforming communities. I’m also an active member of the New York City Fair Trade Coalition, a grassroots organization that promotes fair trade businesses and retailers in New York City and educates consumers on the importance of fair trade. Last but by no means least, I’m a husband and father. These roles underscore the importance of the work we’re doing and help to galvanize my commitment to making the planet a better place for my family, future generations, and for all of the earth’s inhabitants.#opendoorclimate
