Responsible for researching housing product and program needs, analyzing housing related data gathered from various sources including MSHDA products that will assist local municipalities within the State of Michigan as well as other state housing agencies when applicable. Provide direction for municipalities by researching, assessing and resolving their housing concerns, issues, and challenges. Additional areas of focus include, but are not limited to, outreach activities including promoting MSHDA’s homeownership solutions, COVID emergency rental assistance (CERA) and other MSHDA rental, homeless and housing programs as required.

Provides appropriate career guidance and case management assistance to customers through interviews, assessment, referral and follow-up, assist customers in identifying and accessing necessary support services, and identify and coordinate vocational training programs that are appropriate to customer needs.

Meet and follow-up with students in regards to ensuring they are exposed to supportive services on campus and assisting students with developing strategies for improving their academic performance. When students are academically recess, or are on academic probation, I work with each student to provide recommendations and strategies for improving the students’ academic achievement and/or explaining the process and steps that need to be taken by the student, to be eligible for reinstatement back to the university. I also developed rubrics, forms, and reports to track and evaluate recommendations given to students during their individual meetings.
