Our DevOps team uses the Agile Scrum process as well as consulting with various other product Agile and Kanban teams. - Evaluated, piloted, and purchased cloud cost management tool (Cloudability) resulting in 20% cloud cost savings. - Championed, piloted and implemented Cloud Custodian policy tool for policy enforcement and cloud cost automation. - Reviewed, standardized, and deployed security and compliance services to AWS environment (AWS Inspector, AWS Guard Duty, and AWS Macie). - Championed automated CI/CD process for all IaC code resulting in infrastructure that is regularly patched with minimal human intervention (building new AMIs on a monthly basis instead of patching). - Supported ongoing cloud migration project, re-platforming legacy applications from our data center into AWS using Docker containers (ECS), Hashicorp Consul, and serverless functions (Lambda) with a "cattle not pets" approach to instances/servers.
