MarqMetrix has quickly become a leading developer of optical sensor technology performing equally well in an array of environmental, biological, chemical, and industrial applications. Under his leadership as MarqMetrix Chief Operating Officer, the fast-growing company established partnerships with several highly recognized global brands and achieved profitability in its first year of operations. Together with co-founder Brian Marquardt, a widely-respected PH. D who developed the company’s technology, Van Vuren has become an industry evangelist writing and commenting on the vast opportunity for improving manufacturing and measurement processes for a wide range of industries including manufacturing, oil, petrochemical, and pharmaceuticals. In 2017, Van Vuren co-founded PharmID, an innovative molecular pharmaceutical identification solution that provides the hard data and reliable verification needed to help organizations reduce costs, streamline operations and make healthcare safer. Van Vuren has served as PharmID’s Chief Executive Officer since August 2019. Prior to co-founding MarqMetrix and PharmID, Van Vuren held senior positions with Microsoft Corporation, where he managed OEM partnerships with many of the world’s leading technology companies such as Hewlett Packard, IBM, Sony, Fujitsu, and NEC. While working with Microsoft, his strategic business model led to the profitable foreign expansion of the HP OEM sales team and the achievement of $4 billion in annual revenue. Van Vuren has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Knox College in Gatesburg, Ill.
