He worked in Public Affairs for the Marine Corps and retired. His responsibilities were writing for news publications, media relations, crisis management and community relations. He has worked in multiple countries including Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. He's written more than 300 news articles and features while supporting those stories with photographs. As the media relations chief, he wrote numerous news releases for the external media and escorted civilian meida organizations on military bases and in combat zones. While in the communication relations office, he was responsible for the community relations program. His area of responsibility included the coastline of the Pacific Ocean (Japan, Hawaii, California.) The events included base tours, planning and executing Pro Bowl Support, Static Display and Color Guard requests. He also hosted high school leadership retreats. He was a marketing representative for Marine in Louisville, Kentucky. While there he maintained a $25,000 budget, created newsletters and coordinated lead-generating events.Since leaving the Marine Corps, he has completed a bachelor's and a master's degree from Old Dominion Univ and worked two years in an internship program at the USDA. He served three years as the chief of communications for the VA in Dublin, Ga. Now he is the director of Community and Public Relations for the Fayetteville, Arkansas VA.His goals are working in public affairs or in a marketing department, but is open to any opportunities.
