Our team aligned each project with the customer's business objectives to create meaningful data capabilities and capture value early and often. We pioneered innovative methods of agile delivery of our services and invoicing to accelerate delivering results with engineering, data science, and consulting strategy projects. SVDS delivered products and projects leveraging big data platforms (Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.) and deploying machine learning and AI based solutions.

Our Data Insights group focuses on helping organizations realize value from their strategic data assets. Our program harnesses technologies that allow data to be acquired, stored, processed, and managed at massive scale and with unprecedented efficiency. We employ these technologies to discover the insight contained in the data and effectively bring that insight to bear on business processes – enabling new and better outcomes, even entire new business models. We work closely with other teams within Accenture's Labs, throughout Accenture, with our partners, and with our clients to quickly bring new ideas to life.The innovation program focused on three key areas: data visualization, advanced analytics, and data platform architectures. We focused on developing next-generation big data and analytics solutions to drive innovation into Accenture’s existing data and analytics practices and partnered with those practices to serve Accenture’s clients on pioneering big data projects resulting in sales of $50M.

I led the production and dissemination of Accenture's Technology Vision, an annual analysis of emerging technology trends impacting the future of IT for Accenture and its clients. I was responsible for tracking emerging technologies and analyzing their transformational potential. I advised clients on the impact of technological change, typically working with CIOs, CTOs, and heads of business. I helped drive global technology strategy, prioritization of R&D efforts, and shape alliance strategy based on technology.

I was second in command of an innovation lab focused on enterprise analytics with three primary initiatives: process-centric systems, data management, and energy management. I directly led all early stage research with a global team spanning the US, France, and India. I was responsible for defining the challenges, identifying opportunities, and scoping the R&D agenda. Our research focused its efforts on strategic priority areas for Accenture that resulted in either delivery cost-savings or new growth opportunities generating $20M in sales in the first 3 years.

I led Accenture's multi-year research effort in Service Oriented Architectures and Business Process Management. I ran a global, cross-functional team of 16 researchers, developers, and architects to develop a 5-year vision of SOA/BPM technology, develop a next-generation prototype of that vision, and design experiments to test current technology and standards suitability for achieving that vision. I managed the design and development of the system and execution of experiments on SOA technology from major software vendors such as SAP, IBM, and Oracle. Our findings resulted in best practices for SOA implementations, drove improvements in products through our relationships with the software vendors, and guided Accenture SOA practice and future research.
