I am a 42 year old father of two with an international career in outdoor pursuits instruction since 1997. At the age of 34 I returned to study and in November 2013 completed a Degree in Environmental Management and Planning with an additional Major in Conservation and Ecology at Lincoln University. In this position I undertook research on the perceptions and recreational use of a farm park on Banks Peninsula as a summer scholar. In this role I researched the historical and recreational background of the park, developing and implementing surveys for multiple parks on Banks Peninsula and concluded with a written report and presentation on the research findings to multiple stakeholder organisations.
