I’ve always been interested in creating things. As a kid I was curious, always doodling on a piece of scrap paper or making the next greatest contraption out of LEGO. In school, I excelled in both math and art. My specialty became drawing people, but I never wanted to be an artist. What I really wanted to find a way to use my art to find solutions to things, much the same way that I used math to answer problems. It only made sense that I would eventually find my way to Industrial Design at Virginia Tech, where designing solutions to issues people face is a way of life. I learned how to use sketching as a form of communication, rather than a form of “personal expression.” Through user-centered design and research, I apply these ideas to my existing talents, and have grown as a storyteller and problem solver through storyboarding, sketching, and rendering.Specialties: Sketching, Rhino, Solidworks 2010, Modo, Storyboarding, Character Design, Photoshop CS5, InDesign CS5, Illustrator CS5, Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Powerpoint 2010
