I'm a Director with diverse experience in operations, HR, marketing, business development, and department oversight roles. Over the years, I've cultivated a lot of skills in financial oversight/forecasting, project management, team training, and leadership. That's probably because I've spent a lot of time creating and implementing operations and I am always looking to make them more efficient! I have worked with Governors, Commissioners, and Boards of Directors to implement policy and strategy. In each of my roles I've been quite successful and I attribute that to focusing on communication and being adamant about creating a team atmosphere. One thing is for sure- everyone likes to work with others rather than for others and sharing knowledge is power. So I understand the importance of creating teams and striving for things together. A few accomplishments I'm proud of include:► Raised over $2M in grants and donations by cultivating private donors through extensive networking at ISDH Healthy Hoosiers Foundation.► Found efficiencies and savings in the departments I ran in the Governor’s office, FSSA, and ISDH► Established all operations and procedures at the Healthy Hoosiers Foundation.► Passed the law that created the Healthy Hoosiers Foundation, the first non-profit for health in any state health department.► Pushed through a law that allowed retired Dr.'s and nurses to volunteer at food banks or other community events to triage medical issues.► Played a pivotal role on the team that passed the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) that became the basis of many states Medicare reform plans.► Coordinated with 80 state agencies for communications with the public along with rules and procedures on how to respond to them at the Office of Governor Mitch Daniels.► Received Commissioner’s Award for Excellent Service by ISDH Commissioner Jerome AdamsI am focused on putting my passion and skills to good use.
