Experienced Global Vice President - Information Technology. I started out as a PC Technician, Network Administrator, Wide Area Network Engineer, Developer, and then onto management level positions that included IT Manager, Director of IT, Chief Information Officer, and Vice President. My current position is as Risk Management Lead for Capital District Physician’s Health Plan (CDPHP). CDPHP is a regional health insurance company based in Albany, NY. I am handling incident management and vendor risk management for security controls and compliance. My previous position was with a Managed Service Provider running the delivery team responsible for P&L. The position before that was as Global CIO for a publicly traded Austrian based industrial engineering firm. My extensive experience leading and directly global IT teams over the many years has brought me a wealth of knowledge and challenges to overcome. While at ANDRITZ my experience had me dealing with multiple business units, geographic diverse internal customers, and running a large multi-national IT team. My team consisted of 500 people encompassing 7 global teams in the area of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Product Life Cycle Management (PLM), Security, Infrastructure, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Application Development. I have a lot of experience working in a manufacturing environment and supporting the business to meet strategic and organic growth potential.The number of stamps in my passport shows the diverse nature of my career and experiences. I have visited and worked with local IT teams in at least 15 different countries.I am a people person; I love to tell stories about my travels and experiences and to bring real life experience to mentor and guide my teams. You can manage people or you can lead people, I prefer to lead them in a collaborative and productive way to reach our goals.Life is a journey, and it is how you approach things and having fun along the way that matters most.
