As Managing Director of the Digital Eye Lab, a division of ABB OPTICAL GROUP,Scott Pearl's responsibilities include overseeing the multi-million dollar, fullyautomated, digital surfacing wholesale optical lab and managing operations tosupport the strategic plan of the company. Scott also manages ABB OPTICALGROUP's stock ophthalmic lenses inventory.Scott conceptualized the Digital Eye Lab as the first fully automated laboratorydedicated to freeform digital lens fabrication in the United States in 2007. Hedeveloped the strategy, facility plan and launch into market, and recruited some ofthe best team members in the industry to establish Digital Eye Lab. Since thecompany’s launch, Scott has spearheaded efforts to significantly expand the lab’sproduction capabilities through new equipment, resulting in a broader range ofproduct offerings and more efficient production times.Prior to conceptualizing and launching Digital Eye Lab, Scott was a principle atVision Products East, an independent optical sales and marketing organization. Inthis role he gained experience in all facets of lens fabrication, from hardware tosoftware to staffing requirements. His background in the industry began in 1990when he joined Balester Optical Company and served for five years as a New YorkMetro Sales Representative. He continued building his knowledge of the lensfabrication industry as a key account manager at Diaco Corporation, where hebolstered his skill set to include developing marketing launch initiatives andworking with license brands to develop product, packaging and advertisingcomponents.A graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta, Scott brings years ofexperience and invaluable knowledge to Digital Eye Lab and ABB OPTICALGROUP that support the companies’ business goals and future expansionendeavors
