In January of 2023 I was promoted to Estates Manager. I am now responsible for the entire 33-acre site, adding to my line management the Grounds Department, managing the departmental budget and ensuring compliance working with the Operations Manager. I report directly to the Headmaster and am a member of the Senior Management Team. I also chair the Health & Safety Committee.Quality of work carried out by myself and my team is paramount, as is maintaining the positive relationship we as a Department have with the remainder of the staff, both teaching and non-teaching.I am a non-teaching co-opted member of the Music Department, able to make use of my choral directing skills, previously running the Boys' Choir, currently running the Chamber Choir.

I am a classically trained tenor soloist with over 30 years' experience, turning professional several years ago.I have been taught by Professor Ross Campbell, Cathryn Pope, Wendy Eathorne, Pamela Bowden and Edwin Rolles.I have specialised in oratorio and art song, although I am just as comfortable with other genres including opera, musical theatre and crossover.I have enjoyed highly successful trips to both Vancouver and Montréal over several years amongst other work, including a spell in Auckland, New Zealand, during November 2017 for a number of performances as part of a large 10-day “LiveAid”-style event leading up to World AIDS Day in December and, of course, several performances in the UK. I am also a member of a small professional choir based in Guildford, Surrey, UK and a Deputy Lay Clerk at Guildford Cathedral.

The Kindred Spirits Choir is a choir affiliated to Frimley Park Hospital for Breast Cancer sufferers, survivors and carers. A Macmillan Cancer Nurse at the hospital had the idea of creating a therapeutic activity for the unit's current and ex-patients, and I was asked to be its founding MD.It boasts over 30 singers and is regularly asked to perform for all manner of occasions.Most of the members have no choral or other singing experience, and most do not read music. Yet this has developed into a wonderful club where all the members have become good friends, are unbelievably enthusiastic about being in a choir, pushing the boundaries, learning new skills and being given the chance to perform to raise money for breast cancer charities.

I was the Musical Director of the Rushmoor Male Voice Choir since 2001, leading them through a 16+ concert a year season each year, raising many thousands of pounds for local charities, and on high-profile engagements including the Festival of Male Voices at the Royal Albert Hall, Male Voice Festivals in Croydon's Fairfield Halls and in Bournemouth. I have also taken the choir to its twin town in Germany on two occasions in recent years. There were also other exciting projects, including involvement in a sound installation for the Wind Tunnel Project in 2014 during the Farnborough Air Show and being featured on the soundtrack of the 2022 feature documentary "Lancaster".

Alton Choral Society has been in existence for many years. In the summer of 2015 I was approached by the Society's committee offering me the recently-vacated post of Musical Director purely on the strength of my experience and reputation. I was delighted to take up the position in September 2015 and have already grown the membership significantly. I am taking them through a fun but challenging concert programme with plans well into 2017.

Crondall Community Choir has been in existence for some two years. I took over as Musical Director in January 2013, and, whilst numbers at the moment are still small, their enthusiasm for the music has enabled me to take them to their first public performance in just five months. I have great aspirations for this Choir and with more singers firmly believe we can tackle some serious works, enhancing their reputation as a high-quality mixed choir.

I was the founding MD of Hampshire & Surrey NHS Choir. The choir was initially formed in April 2013 out of a desire by NHS staff at Aldershot Centre for Health to have a social activity after work where they could make new friends and learn a new skill. It was quickly a success, soon receiving requests for performances. Regrettably, work commitments and the frequent unsociable hours expected of the staff meant that it became uneconomical to run and the choir had to disband. There may well be an opportunity to re-form in the future with the knowledge gained and lessons learned from our first few months, which was a great experience, meeting many wonderful people.

The Aldershot Military Wives' Choir was founded in September 2012 and I was their inaugural Musical Director, landing the post as a result of their committee observing how I work with choirs and my experience and track record. This was a fascinating challenge working with a wonderful group of ladies most of whom had never met each other previously, had no experience of singing or what it is like to be a member of a choir and had no knowledge of reading music. I took the choir to performance standard in six months, taking them to several military functions and public engagements.
