As part of the One Springs Project, my responsibilities primarily included development of a data validation tool. Data was tested in legacy systems by a battery of queries in Microsoft Access. Data validation rules were submitted by business users. Each rule was tested and reported through Data Quality metrics allowing users to see the results of their data cleaning efforts. Through this process, 40,000 SKUs were also identified as obsolete through activity validation. This reduced the amount of data required for conversion by about 40%, saving equipment, people and time. These efforts resulted in a nearly perfect Go-Live.
