About Kevin Pope

Over the past decade+ of my journey into and through the Information Security profession, I've always been involved in all aspects of corporate security and GRC. I've worked at small, medium, and large businesses and understand the unique challenges facing each at different stages of maturity. Instead of being technical and specializing heavily in one area of security, such as vulnerability scanning or SIEM management, I have consistently operated at a high level to help guide proper policy and procedures as part of the Risk Management Program and GRC activities. This holistic approach to security, often described as "mile wide and an inch deep" helps give organizations the big picture. Understanding the many different controls and solutions to problems and how they fit together like a puzzle in the unique context of an organization is a very valuable skill for leadership to have at their disposal.Small businesses are especially vulnerable. Security consulting, talent, and tools are often far out of the budget for a startup unless they're very lucky. This is why my passion is to provide startup leadership teams with the consulting they need at a price that's affordable. Instead of recommending expensive tools and solutions, I provide them with knowledge about processes, policy, and structure. Giving leadership a positive first experience with security consulting is important to the long-term health of the company. Security is expensive because it's so in-demand, but we are failing a vast market of entrepreneurs who are sacrificing so much for their vision and dream. It's time to make security consulting affordable.

Listed skills include Cisco Ios, Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture Design, Information Security Consultancy, and 27 others.

Archisec provides tailored cybersecurity consulting to leadership of startups and small business. The incredible expense of security consulting, security talent, and security tooling often causes startups to be priced out of something they should have from day one. This leads to a chain of events that puts the organization at very serious risk. 60% of startups will close their doors within 6 months of a cyber breach. It's already hard enough for startups to get into the black and start to scale. The lack of access to any real meaningful consulting for the leadership team often sets them up for failure. This is something that needs to change.I support the entrepreneurial spirit and respect the hustle of every single startup out there. This is why Archisec was founded to provide the basic fundamental security guidance to leadership at a cost they can afford. It's time to break down the cost barrier and help secure our businesses.

Giving back to the community and helping guide others along the path toward seeking a career in cybersecurity is a worthy mission. Through providing members with opportunities to connect with the community, we help provide a critical link between the next generation of professionals, and the mentors with the experience to help guide them.
